So far it has only snowed once this winter, a nice, light layer sometime in December (?) that melted a few hours after sunrise. Yesterday was the first notable winter storm. At first we were promised anywhere from one to eight inches of snow, but at the end the snow gods decided to take that all further north, and gave us the freezing rain instead. Rather pretty, as well as making the roads impassible for a time, but I wasn’t planning on going out anyway. I think I may have finally caught the Thing going around work (they’re calling it the “flu” but elsewhere I’m hearing there’s a big covid resurge so who knows). No fever, but I had a weird dizzy spell last night while sitting on the couch and typing on this laptop with it sitting on the ottoman like I am now, and felt very draggy upon waking earlier that day, and have had ringing and stuffiness in my ears, and itching ears (the worst! so annoying), and even some pain near my left ear. I’ve also had the usual gut troubles but not to a great extent. I feel better today. People at work that have had it said it didn’t last long, but their symptoms were more acute, but varying (some had fever, some had vomiting, some didn’t have either). So who knows. At least when they come back from being sick they are wearing masks, which is a good change from the pre-covid generous sharing of whatever happened to be going around that year.
That’s all for now.
